THE CAF AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM serves the scholars of Cresthaven Academy Charter School. Only currently enrolled CACS scholars may attend the After School Program. Students attending other schools are not eligible for this program.

PROGRAMMING DATES: September 6, 2022 - June 15, 2023

PROGRAM HOURS: Operating hours of the After School Program are subject to change based on the CACS school day schedule. Late pick-ups fees will be charged for scholars picked up after program end time.

PICK-UP PROCEDURES: Scholars must be signed out from the after school program using a QR code or PIN # in the Main Lobby. QR codes & PIN #’s are unique to each parent/authorized adult and are NOT to be shared with anyone. To ensure scholar safety, individuals attempting to sign out a scholar may be asked to show ID, and under no circumstances will any scholar be dismissed to an individual that does not have a PIN # / is not listed on the authorized pick-up list. To authorize additional adults for pick up, the designated parent must contact CAF at (908) 756-1234 ext. 1105.

LATE PICK-UP POLICY: Scholars must be picked up on time. After 6:00 PM (K - 3rd Grade at 530 W. 7th St.) and 5:45pm (4th - 6th Grade at 7-9 Watchung Ave.), late pick ups will be charged according to the table below. In cases of frequent tardiness, and/or in the event that a scholar is not picked up within 30 minutes of the end of the program, CAF will take appropriate actions, which may include contacting the NJ Department of Child Protection & Permanency and/or discontinuing enrollment in the After School Program.

LATE PICK UP FEES:

HALF DAYS, SNOW DAYS, AND HOLIDAYS: After school programming will not operate on school holidays or snow days unless otherwise noted on the school calendar. After school programming will not operate during Parent Teacher Conferences, on Half Days, or on Early Dismissal Days, unless otherwise noted on the school calendar.

DISCIPLINE POLICY: Cresthaven Academy Foundation subscribes to all disciplinary policies as set forth in the Cresthaven Academy Charter School Scholar/Family handbook. Please refer to your handbook for specific policy details.

CODE OF CONDUCT FOR STAFF, PARENTS, AND VISITORS: Cresthaven Academy Foundation subscribes to all code of conduct policies for staff, parents, and visitors as set forth in the Cresthaven Academy Charter School Scholar/Family handbook. Please refer to your handbook for specific policy details.

PROGRAM COSTS:
Monthly program fee:
$150 per scholar, per month.

Sibling rate: $100 per month for each subsequent sibling. (Ex: 2 scholars = $250/month; 3 scholars = $350/month; etc.)

Enrollment fee: $25 per scholar is required at the time of registration and is non-refundable.

Additional fees apply for late pick-ups, late payments, and some optional off-site programs.

A limited number of scholarships are available for qualifying families. Contact afterschool@cresthavenacademy.org for more information regarding scholarships.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE:
Monthly payments are due on the 1st of every month. Late payments are subject to penalty.

Payments must be made via the Procare website or the Procare app.

LATE PAYMENT POLICY: Payments not received by the 15th of the month are considered late and will be subject to a $25 late fee. For any accounts that are more than 30 days past due, Cresthaven Academy Foundation may terminate the scholar(s) enrollment in the After School Program, and:

●  Refer the account to a collection agency

●  Initiate a claim in the court system

●  Notify other appropriate state agencies

●  Prohibit the scholar (and scholar’s siblings) from participating in future enrichment programming

●  Delay the issuance of report cards, transfer cards, and class assignment

HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY: For the health and safety of our scholars and staff, we will align with the practices of Cresthaven Academy Charter School to the greatest extent possible. This may include but is not limited to, mask-wearing, social distancing, and temperature checks. Any scholar failing to comply with health and safety practices will be immediately sent home from the After School Program and will not be permitted to return without a family conference and Return-To-Program plan.

INDIVIDUALIZED PROGRAM POLICY: Cresthaven Academy Foundation exists to provide support and resources that inspire excellence in character, identity, and academics to the students and families of Cresthaven Academy Charter School. At times, Cresthaven Academy Foundation may offer additional services or programs to individual scholars and their families in consultation with the parent/guardian and based upon evaluation and discretion of staff. CAF’s approach to enrichment will be as unique as each scholar it serves, and will be tailored to each scholar’s specific needs and strengths. The offering of services or programs to one student will in no way guarantee the offering identical services or programs to another. The monetary value of services offered to one student will in no way guarantee the offering of services of equivalent monetary value to another.

MEDIA RELEASE OPT-OUT POLICY: Cresthaven Academy Foundation (CAF) may, from time to time, photograph, interview, videotape, and/or otherwise capture media footage of Cresthaven students and staff in connection with After School programs and CAF events for use on a website, social media, printed or online publications, newsletters, news releases, and other publications. Unless CAF has a Media Release Opt-Out form on file, your child’s image or likeness may be used in any of the above-stated media capacities. If you DO NOT wish for your child’s image or likeness to be used, please contact afterschool@cresthavenacademy.org to opt-out.
