Swimming
Through partnership with the Fanwood-Scotch Plains YMCA (F-SPY), CAF provides financial support for a limited number of scholars to participate in weekly swim instruction at the YMCA. Scholars learn water safety and are introduced to basic swim skills under the guidance of certified swim instructors. Lessons are provided to limited cohorts on a rotating basis. Parents must provide transportation to/from F-SPY, and are required to pay a session fee to CAF for their scholar to participate. Each session duration is 16 weeks. Recognizing that for some families, access to swim instruction is out of reach, Cresthaven Academy Foundation is proud to collaborate with FSP-YMCA, which has a long history of excellence in swim instruction, as well as nationally ranked competitive swim teams.
